SLOWUG session and some exciting news

Two days ago Gorazd Šemrov from Microsoft and me were presenting at SLOWUG (SLOvenian Windows Users Group) meeting. We mostly talked about IT automation and self-service, how we do it now and how we will be doing it in the future using System Center 2012 Orchestrator and Service Manager.

Today I’m keeping the promise I made at the meeting, to share some stuff. You can download a zip archive here, which includes pptx from our session and auto client protection script for System Center Data Protection Manager based on Active Directory groups. Feel free to contact me if, you have any questions about the script or you would like to have source code for other solutions presented at the meeting. You can find my e-mail address in the about page.

About the exciting news. System Center Service Manager 2012 Beta is now publicly available for download here. And there is more, System Center Orchestrator 2012 Release Candidate was also released today. You can download it here. Start playing with both product today and create some hardcore IT automation and self-service stuff :)
